Cherokee Rose Kiss In The Dark

Cherokee Rose Kiss In the Dark, aka Diva, is a 2013 National Top Five Youth Halter Mare. She also received two AMHR All-Star Top Fives, for Country Pleasure Stake and Open Country Pleasure. She is more than half ways toward her Hall of Fame in Country Pleasure. We are very excited to add this fancy driving mare, and thank Jeremy and Amanda Dodson for entrusting us with this special mare!

In her first, warm-up show of the 2015 season, Diva won 1st out of 14 entries, shown by Pat Henry.  In Open Country Pleasure, she beat many nice minis, 2 Shetlands and 1 Hackney Pony!  Diva flies at the extended trot! Diva won 2nd place in Halter at HAMES (behind Saucey), 2nd place in Country Pleasure Stake, 1st in Roadster and 1st in Draft Team. At the fair, she was 7th out of 32 Mares and 4th in Paul Newman Pleasure Driving and Draft Team. A very good first year!
Woodland Acres Sweet and Saucy
Saucy is by a Top Ten Halter Buck Echo grandson, out of a multi-Champion Halter mare. She was trained in 2014 for Western Country Pleasure, Obstacle, and Jumping by Pat Henry. Her only show of the summer was The Boone County Fair, which has a large Miniature division. Only a 3 year old, Saucy  placed well in all of her halter and performance classes, in classes with up to 36 entries. She will be making her AMHR debut in 2015. She is sensible and steady, but stylish too!  For the second year in a row, Saucy placed in all of her classes at the Boone County Fair. She placed 6 out of 32 in halter and 7th out of 36 in Miniature Pleasure Driving! She also won her halter class at the rated HAMES show and placed in Country Western Pleasure. She has become a quiet, consistent, beautiful driver!
Oak Park Royal Elegance

A very pretty mare that traces to Sami Soap Suds and Aza Double Destiny. In 2014, she was trained for Country Pleasure, Roadster, Obstacle and Jumping by Pat Henry. In her only show in 2014, she was in season and not on her best behavior! But she has matured a lot this year, and we expect good results from her in 2015! She is a flashy mover! Wendy will be driving her in 2015 in Country Pleasure.  She will also be shown in Halter and Draft Team with Diva. 2015 Show Results: Ellie was the Reserve Senior Champion Halter Mare at the HAMES show and won the Superior Performance Champion also! At the fair, she was 4th out of 22 in Single Draft and 4th in Draft Team with Diva! They are a high stepping, exciting team, and we expect great things from them in the future!
R.C. Summer Dream
Summer, our first driving mare, is now 9 years old. We have been driving her for 6 years. I, Wendy, have driven her in a drill team. She has been shown and placed many times in Halter, Pleasure Driving, Single Draft Harness, and Antique Buggy. She is a very good girl, and gives her driver exactly what they want. Mike is confident and likes to go faster. She is happy to oblige and even takes off with him, now and then! Wendy is more of a chicken, and can hardly get her into an extended trot--she is a great baby-sitter! In the summer of 2014, Summer chose her own destiny, and jumped the fence (twice), to get bred by Little Kings Exclusive Elijah, pictured below. He is half Shetland, and should add some refinement and action to dear Summer. Foal due in May, 2015

AMAZING SONRISE FAITH HOPE N CHARITY

"Charity" is our most recent addition, arriving in December 2015. Standing at 36 inches, she very closely resembles Summer Dream, and will become her draft team-mate! Previously she has raised foals and was the star at children's' birthday parties for 5 years, so is calm and gentle!
